Scrap fabric canvas art class

Theme: Fabric Mosaic on canvas board

Attendees:

        –  All registered children will be provided with all tools needed to create an art canvas board to take home! 

        –  Children will be working with mod podge. (Glue)

Please wear comfortable clothing/play clothes that you won’t mind getting a little sticky.  We will also be working scissors so parents may need to help younger children cut shapes 

• Artists may replicate the demo design but also encouraged to be creative and bring their ideas to life!  come with an idea of what shape you would like to create so we can use time efficiently and get your vision started.  Please stick to one simple focus image to allow enough space on the canvas and time to complete your project.  
• We will have the opportunity to have a light snack and socialize at the end of class while projects are drying 

Flow:

9:30 KPN volunteers arrive and start setting up

10:15 Former Students arrive and get art appraised. Then they depart or remain with the new crop of students

10:30 Introductions/class starts and students receive brief instructions then can start creating!  Volunteers will help as needed 

12:00 Children should be done with projects and setting them to dry.  30 minutes for social snack time 

12:30 clean up

1:00 venue closes, have a wonderful day and bring your amazing creations home!

We have venue from 9:30 – 1:00, 30 minutes allotted time for set up and  clean up

Fabric scraps

Clear containers for fabric scraps

Canvas boards

Mod Podge

Foam brushes

Scissors 

Small disposable cups for mod podge

Small disposable plate for sponge brush

Paper

Pencils

Gloves

Optional; art drying heat gun

Plastic table cloths

Tables 

Cleaning supplies; spray and paper towels, broom

Chairs provided by School of Live Music

Snacks (requested by venue not sticky or greasy to protect music instruments)

and share art materials to make your reflections and visions art.
