Location: Near Brenham at the former Stephen F. Austin-owned property. The Buddy Lavin family extends this private venue for invited guests of Knowledge Point Network Volunteers.
Required by attendee: Durable attitude, motorcycle, and spare equipment. Fuel, hydration, something to eat, something to pass or lift the spirits of others.
Extended to the attendee: Structured guide ensures the safest ride. We rest periodically to regroup, check equipment, providing maximum fun!
Theme: Shut off the brain and ride. The school of hard knocks has schooled us. We need balance. They need throttle therapy.
Agenda:
7:30 am: Early Birds can arrive, pick a route, and head out immediately.
8:30 am: Lone wolf and family loop Ride Begins: A volunteer leads, and another brings up the rear. We stop, regroup quickly, then lengthen the duration of laps between stops.
9:55 am: Rinse and repeat, explore new virgin trail possibilities, hydrate, chat about future events at this location.
11:55 am: Reflect on the morning session, Motorcycle maintenance, and setup knowledge transfer. Suspension setup, cornering techniques.
12:00 pm: Lunch as a group as we discuss the next time we will return and what we can do to enhance this private venue and the privilege that earned the trust for us to walk among the giants of the earth for a few hours.
1:00 pm: Clean up and pack up.
