$4500 Goal

Rational:

An essential element of the human condition is the desire for exploration. Military veterans and essential workers are not satisfied remaining on the blacktop or in the parking lot of the campground. They want to explore beyond. While many individuals will peer at the corridor leading into the forest timidly, these robust men and women relish the thought of what lies around the next turn. At KPN, our clients are allowed usage of the motorized equipment and essential mapping skills.

When you arrive with your family and/or friends, you will enjoy the array of activities we offer while you use the Track Chair Adventure and go exploring. Of course, family and friends may walk or bike along with you.  It’s inevitable.

The independence provided to you builds and builds The deeper you go into the forest, the deeper your healing.

Who qualifies:

Priority for combat veterans, family, friends, and sponsors who wish to enhance the well-being of the client. We also cater to Essential Workers and their network of supporting individuals.

What is the process?

Though the veterans and essential workers are not charged, individual and corporate donations are collected to fund the care and maintenance of the equipment. The combined annual budget to house, maintain, and transport the vehicles, including the time on task of those who maintain the vehicles, is estimated to be $20,000 per unit. Our Mini-fundraisers accumulate a day rate of $4500 to cover the minimum incremental operational costs. To stay ahead of the Track Chair Adventure budget, “ownership grants” are awarded quarterly or based on demand. If you are interested in helping defray costs, please submit only one application per applicant per quarter year.
